Originally from Barcelona, Sonia is a freelance photographer based in Berlin, retoucher and creative director, shooting portraits, still life, fashion editorials and lifestyle.

Her photography is poetic, expressive and intense. Inspired by a mix of misfit narratives, eighties futuristic aesthetics and metaphysical topics found in the works of Ingmar Bergman, Jim Jarmush, Kieslowsky, Agnès Varda, Dostoievsky, Cindy Sherman amongs others.

Her photographies have been published in magazines like Metal Magazine, Kaltblut, Flanelle, Forbes, Exberliner and more.

Her work has won grants and been exposed in several occasions:

Sonia Teruel studied Photography at IEFC, MA Spanish Literature at UAB & MA Theory and Comparative Literature at FU.
